Here’s something about myself; It all started when my Grandfather came from Italy to the USA. His name was Frank Perazzo and he started Frank Perazzo Plumbing and Heating. His shop ran for about 60 years and during that time, he got married and had my dad Richard Perazzo. As the years went by, my father got married and had a baby boy, yours truly.

My grandfather, like most Italians from the Old Country, told my dad to name me Frank Perazzo Jr. to carry the proud name and the business for future generations. I started working for my grandfather when I was about 7 years old. Working at a plumbing shop with fourteen plumbers. My duties included doing all kinds of shop work, washing trucks, sweeping floors, restocking shelves, and learning all the names and applications of the plumbing fittings.

As time went on, he started letting me ride with his plumbers. Boy that was fun! Next step, schooling on this career which meant Gas Company School, Plumbing Code School, Sewer and Drain Cleaning School, Heating School and so on. At the time, it seemed like it would never end. Finally, they gave me my first truck. The oldest truck they had in the fleet. I endeared it.

As years went on and my experience grew, they gave me a brand new truck and more responsible positions. I can honestly say as a third generation plumber and having the most rigorous training program Grandpa could provide, I can truly consider myself qualified after 37 years for this career.
